I think you're doing a pretty good job, myself. :)

ditto
Not quite like the movie, but it is clearly Mrs. B. (that is who you're trying to draw, right?)

Nice work and yes, she is hard to draw!

Looks like you're doing a good job to me. :)
Maybe she's been working out, or something. Who knows? ;)

Never get it right? Are ya' kidding? ;)

She looks awesome here! Accents from the movie, but with your own style. I love it!

If you take requests, let me know. :)

She seems a tad tall, but great work
Love to see more!

From what I can see, you've basically got it right except that in your full-figure rendition she's a tad too tall. I think she should be a little shorter. Keep up the good work though. You're absolutely right... She's not easy to draw. I had, and indeed still do have a hard time drawing her whenever I have the time. That leads me to my other problem which is finding the time to practice drawing.

Peace :)

too bad we all need sleep or we would all have that time added to our day. I probably could make time to draw and I think I will do that soon

For me, what makes her so hard to draw is her fur pattern. That's why I almost always draw her from the side. Drawing any NIMH character's face in a diagonal angle is real hard. Mrs. B is especially hard  . If you include her cape, that's hard to draw to. The texture of the cape seems really thin and the the cape looks best then adjusted to her body. It's REAL hard.

Although I'm trying to draw her more 'cause I'm telling myself to draw what I want to more, I almost never drew Mrs. B freehanded without any reference (which is a bad idea for any NIMH fanart and I learned that the hard way...).

I don't know what you're worried about. You've got a great start on her!

I never use reference when I draw. Not for any elitist reason mind you. I'm just too lazy to ever go searching for the material and I feel the temptation to simply 'copy' the reference would be too great for me.

And yeah, I tried again recently and realized I aint never gonna get that chick drawn right. So I figured if I just drew of a bunch of bad drawings of her slapped together one after the other in quick succession, I might sucker folks into think'n it's good! Oh me 'n my scheming ways...

Your drawings are great! You have to be more self-confident, because according to sketches I can tell that you've got a serious approach! Art school, maybe?
Anyway, drawing like that without reference is a very big deal! So cheer up - you've got it!!!

Nice little animation there!

As one who does not draw myself, I agree :D

Not too shabby. I like the animation too.

At least it looks better than something I would would draw(If I tried to draw Mrs. B, there's no telling how she would look), nice job animating her though.

Still, there is nothing like hand drawn animation.

Still, there is nothing like hand drawn animation.

Indeed, 2D animation shouldn't be going away any time soon.

I hope not, tho I do enjoy some of this new CG type animation, but nothing to me has the feel of an artist touch as does hand drawn.

I'm not too fond of the CG animation we have nowadays, I wish it would stop being used and they would bring Cel-shading back.

Looks great Moonman! :)
Seems to me like she`s feeling or contemplating the power of the stone given to her.

Hello, Moonman and tzolkin,

Moonman, I think that the sight of ANY animated sketch on a computer screen = Cool!, and that that stylized drawing/ painting of Mrs. Brisby is rather unique and true-to-spirit! Keep up the good work!

tzolkin, I love your avatar! Is his name "Tzolkin"?
