Pigs are learning how to fly, Satan is skating his way to work, the apocolapyse has started and I just became a monkey's uncle (well, aunt). The seas will run with blood and a famine will begin and in the midst of this is one, horrid abomination known to all mouse and humankind as The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue. All I can say is....Well, lets keep this kid friendly, alrighty?

The first film Secret of NIMH, is my favorite film. I remember watching it on Cartoon Network when I was younger (I'm 14 and still love it.). The plot is dark, suspenseful, but has a pinch of love, passion and a sprinkle of comedy about it. The animation is PHENOMINAL. The characters are beautifully drawn and well colored, the voices match the characters' personalities and is great! I consider it a masterpiece of animation.

NIMH 2 is the exact freakin' opposite! The plot is light, bouncy, and pretty darn annoying. The animation is HORRIBLE or as Auntie Shrew would put it, "Absolutely outrageous!". Imagine a 4 year old drawing the characters for this 'film'. Yeah. The character designs suck. The coloring is just to BRIGHT for a NIMH film. Its like something from a cheesy Saturday morning cartoon!

One of the worst remade characters in this film is Mrs. Brisby. GASP, you say? How can this be possible? Well, shut up and listen my friend. In the first NIMH film, she was a beautifuly made character. Her design was phenominal, her voice acting was great, and her attitude was wonderful. In NIMH 2, the brilliant' artists changed her into a digitally drawn, poorly animated and HORRIBLY voice overed mouse. They gave her GRAY hair. They gave her GLASSES. They gave her a red PONCHO! My username for this site is "MrsBrisby" for crying out loud! Ughhh let's just get on with this.

All the characters in NIMH 2 are awful. The plot is awful. The animation is very awful. The voice acting is very very awful and the whole dang film is very very VERY awful! I'm not even going to explain the plot! THERE IS NO PLOT! And even if I did try and explain it, I would probably put a bullet in my skull afterwards.

Here are the basics:

Animation- Cheap, digital, not fluid and very awful.
Plot-What plot?
Coloring-Bright, not NIMHish.
Voice acting- Some was alright. The rest was sucky.
Best character- Jenny McBride. Although the idiots gave her breasts, she is a pretty cool mouse. Kinda like me almost.
So-So character- Jeremy the crow. He's alright but kinda annoying.
Bad character- Cecil the caterpillar. Ughhh why why WHY?
Horrible character- Justin the rat. He looks like my friend's ferret. Justin is now a complete wimp.
Oh-God-Why? Character- Evil Martin. lilililililili THIS!

Reference to the first film- WHERE IS THE STONE???!!!???!!!
Star Rating- li one star

So there ya have it folks. NIMH 2 review. Please dont watch it. Go buy the first film. PLEASE!

Bye! :) thanks for reading! I'll do a review of the first NIMH soon! ;) :D :)

First of all: Welcome to Thorn Valley!

Second of all: Is this your first time using a forum? What does this thread have to do with fan art? Did you know that many people here already HAVE seen this so-called "movie?"

Third of all:
Bad character- Cecil the caterpillar. Ughhh why why WHY?

Agreed. Jar-Jar Binks isn't nearly as bad as this dumb caterpillar is, IMO. I give this movie -5 stars.

I liked NIMH 2 because I saw it for the campfest that it is. I just love bad cheesy/campy B movies. I found the Evil Martin plot twist hilarious and the song by Eric Idle was pitch perfect; you can tell he had fun. If the whole film had the same spirit as the Evil Martin scene, I would've loved the film. The terrible incomprehensible plot combined with terrible voice acting and script makes for a fun experience if you're a guy like me and live for this kind of slilit.

Just the whole idea of Timothy being forced against his will to be a hero just because an old rat said he would and having everyone pressuring him to be this great savior is hilarious.

....Now as a true sequel to SoN, it's just plain bad, but as a stand alone film, it's camp factor is good enough for one view.

Not much more I can add that hasn't been said already about that excuse for a sequel, though I do agree that Jenny was a likable enough character.

In the meantime, welcome aboard, MrsBrisby; D and by the way, are you the MB who posted a few comments to Robin's Archive, including to my stories? If so, cool; if not, still cool. 8)
