Regardless of your political affiliation, remember that the government is and ought to be based on the power and consent of the people it governs.

Just got back from voting :D ,

Tho I found I could not vote in my town (found out not a lot of help to make it happen, first time in twenty years), I had to drive to another town to vote on a provisional ballot, some paper work and I`m off to make my part count.
Like your link with Michael Badnairk, some things I agree, some not, but thats the freedom we have at this age and time.
I hope you all who are of age, voted

I voted for the first time in my life today.
Though, my vote seems to have been rather useless, as according to the news the candidates I voted for didn't even get 1% of the votes in my state. Ah well.. At the least, I seem to have been with the majority on the other stuff that was on the ballot here.

I don't think I'll ever vote. Even once I get to the age to do so. I don't want to pick someone and find out I was the only one who voted for them (like Tzolkin). And neither do I want the person I picked win, and then turn out to be a moron like a lot of politicians lately.

To Cedric: Eh.. It's probably my fault that my vote didn't count for much, cause I voted for an independant instead of either democrat or republican. But anyways.. As far as voting in a moron, I don't think there's any way to tell. It's not just the person elected, but how they work with the others running a country that can make them look good or bad, in my opinion. It's a sad fact, kinda, but all we can really do is research the candidates, pick the ones that we think can best represent what we want, and hope for the best.

I can`t argue with that on some politicians, but we can also vote on measures and propositions than can help or make life a living heck in the USA or your state, some measures and propositions are pushed by voters to fix what they think to be wrong.
It`s more than voting for someone, much more.

But anywho I lost, and the Dems have the seat, win here lose there. :o , life must go on.
I voted and made my "last stand", for those who won, take over and get the job done.
God bless them all, if they are true to their words.

Voting is what we all must do.
