Yeah, I've finally decided to do the 'blogging' thing somewhat. But don't worry, I'm not going to talk about my cats or my fish (don't have any anyway). The theme is "Stuff that I find interesting." Which may or may not be interesting to you, but hey, you don't have to pay attention to it either. So it all works out. :)

So why am I doing this? Well partially it's because I feel just a tad guilty that I can't do regular site updates nearly as often--between school and work, there's just not much time left.

The other part is because I read an article that talks about online communities and group behavior, which facinated me. Here's the link:
A group is its own worst enemy[=http://shirky.com/writings/group_enemy.html]A group is its own worst enemy

Now, if you come away from that with the idea that I might be doing this as some sort of weird experiment, don't worry, I've been thinking about doing this for some time, but this finally made up my mind.

As always, posts will be "as time permits" but hopefully you'll get something new every couple of days. And there's no topic restriction here--I can post on whatever I want. However this forum will be set up as an announcement forum, meaning I'll be the only one that can post new topics, but replies can be made by any logged-in user. The rest of the forum rules still apply, so be nice to the other kids.

So anyway... on with the show.
