Hey, I just joined on here, whats up.

In the third grade, I saw part of the movie when they played it on a tv at school (during one of those last days before chrismas holiday do-nothing days), and it looked really freaky to me at first, but I was curious, and very much wanted to see the rest of it. Then, a while later, when I was in the fourth grade, from the attic I brought out a box of some old very poor quality VHS videotapes my parents had recorded old cartoon movies onto for us to watch when we were younger. One had All Dogs go to heaven on it, and for some strange reason I liked it so much I bought the VHS of it at a store. Seeing how much cooler Don Bluth's stuff was than most newer Disney animated films, I started renting and watching other Don Bluth movies, and I when I rented Secret of NIMH I by far liked it the best. Nothing else Don Bluth has ever created lives up to Secret of NIMH. After seeing NIMH, I really wanted to get a refund for my All Dogs go to Heaven VHS. I instantly bought NIMH on VHS tape and wished there was more. I soon realized there was when I noticed the based on the novel Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH message in the credits. I rushed to the library and got the book. At the library I also accidentally discovered that it had two sequels. I raced through all three books and have been a die-hard NIMH fan ever since, and now I'm a Freshman in College. My jerk brother thinks it's stupid, and makes fun of me, but I don't care.

I wanted to write some NIMH fan fiction, but I'm too busy working on other stuff right now.

NIMH rules!!!

WELCOME TO THORN VALLEY GRIZZLY !!

I`m new here too, I find thorn valley a nice place to call home in the subject of NIMH things.

I enjoy hearing about how each fan first came across this wonderful movie.
WOW! that was some treasure in the attic, a Don Bluth movie that started you down the road to find this great movie of Don`s THE SECRET OF NIMH.

I hope you enjoy it here at thorn valley, and again WELCOME :D

Welcome and warm greetings Griz.

And don't feel bad about being a freshman in college and still liking NiMH. I'm a father of 4 and I still love it. And I saw it in the theater and have loved it since then. It always shows up on my all time favorite movies lists.

I do hope you get time to write your fiction. I've been working on mine for, oh, 20 years now and it's still not done. So to any and all that can actually finishing a story I say YEA! And if you haven't found Robin's Archive then you've missed out. I do hope its all set here soon because there are some truely exceptional fan stories in it.

Oh, and just let me hawk my yahoo group before I sign off. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NiMH[]http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NiMH For all things NiMh. Even if we're not very active I'm working on that. Slowly.

Thanks for saying hi and welcome to the valley!

Looks like a number of people have gotten here first, but welcome! :)

As for your brother, I wouldn't worry about it; I'm a sophomore in college, and I personally know someone who is over 40 and is an avid NIMH fan. You're in good company. :)

Waz Up!

Welcome and warm (albeit late) greetings, Grizzly!

(Trying to think of something original to say) Thorn Valley is a -very- good place for NIMH fans. In fact, this site is partially responsible for my rediscovering of NIMH. Anyways, I just wanted to stop by and say hello. And again, welcome. Oh, have you checked out NIMH MUCK? It's a really cool place for NIMH fans too.

Keep the Light!
