Hello and Good evening to everyone!!!
When I was a kid, nearly 10 years old, I saw the NIMH at my brother's place... Since then I was looking forward to watch it again... Only 15 years later I got Internet connected and here I am! Downloading NIMH, attending fan-sites and so on!
I should say, it's the best animation ever - and I'm sure all of you DO share my point of view)) Hovewer, to my great sorry, I couldn't get original O'Brien book, as well as sequels, at our local book-stores... And I've found out, that "Mrs Frisby..." wasn't translated at all, and the animation is not well known by modern kids and grownups... Thus, my "crusade" begins!!!
With your help, which I hope to receive, I'm going to get orinal books and its sequels (in computer version)) and translate it!!! And I'm already distributing copies of Secret of NIMH through all of my friends (especially those who've got kids)...
So, one more time, let me say how glad I am to join your community, thank you for this wonderful site and for your help (to come))!
Some thihgs 'bout myself: I live in small Russian town in the north region (though we haven't got any cold winters for the last 2 years)), I'm a doctor, neurologist at the local regional hospital, thogh I'm 25 I'm in for animation, computer gaming etc :) I play guitar and drums in a small band (of two - just me and my friend)), read fantasy books, play Warhammer tabletop game and collect good old movies and animation...
To finish my portrait, I can also add that I'm real Justin Fan!!!
So, one more time, hello and good evening!!!

Hi, borsunov, and welcome to Thorn Valley. :)

As far as getting ahold of copies of the book, I'd say the best way to get one (if your local bookstore doesn't have them) would be via the internet. Amazon.com sells copies here: http://www.amazon.com/Mrs-Frisby-Rats-Aladdin-Fantasy/dp/0689710682/

I'm not aware of an electronic version of the book available anywhere, however.

Anyway, good luck with your search!

Heya! Welcome to Thorn Valley. We have a lot of the same interests! I also love animation (duh :P) and music. I've been playing guitar for a while now. I have a CIJ Fender Jazzmaster that I play all the time!

Again, welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! And thank you for Amazon link... All that's left is to learn how to use electronic money))) What about Web Money, by the way?

Gosh! I'm really sorry!
You see, after second glance I found an idea of using my family name as a nickname... well, sort of ... lame! Thus, I've created another profile with more appropriate nickname - Mikey (that's the way one of my friends from America calls me :) )
Thus, I'll leave another message in the Introduction topic, but still remember, if you please, that it's still me!
And forgive me one more time for breaking the forum's rules! Still, my new nick suits me more

Amazon.com takes real money, but you'd probably need a credit or debit card to use it.

Well, some of my friends told me that according to the Internet's unwritten rules it's not welcome to use a real family names as alias... Anyway, we, Russians, use our family names in speech by adressing those we don't know much and it's very formal. Insulting in a way, sometimes, when used when referring to a friend or someone you know... And I do hope I won't be a "mouselling" forever and soon all of us, NIMH-fans, will become friends! Thus call me Mikey - it's much less formal!
