Hello, I'm Sofia, a 17-years-old NIMH-fan from Finland. I didn't find any Finnish NIMH forum so I decided to register here. NIMH isin't very well-known here in Finland. The book, Mrs. Frisby and the rats of NIMH isn't even translated to Finnish and it isn't available here in English either. So I have never read it. Well, I have to say I have never heard about the books before last winter. :roll: But my Dad is now in London and he promised to buy it to me if he only finds it. Hope so.

I saw the film at the first time about 13 years ago. I liked it very much, thought I didn't understand it very well because I didn't understand English at all and I was so young that I could'nt even read the Finnish subtitles. Nowadays I like it even more than then, but if I saw it at the first time now I probably wouldn't like it so much than I do. I like it beacause it's a part of my childhood or something like that. Of course it is also a very good film. I like it more than the disneys, because the plot is more difficult to understand and NIMH seems to be meant for little older children than the disneys.

NIMH II: Timmy the rescue (or Timi pelastaa päivän as it's name is in Finnish =}}) didn't come out of TV here in Finland until in March 2004. I couldn't watch the whole movie, beacause it was so horrible. There is nothing good in that film.

I don't know if I'm going to write anything on this forum and I have no idea if there is any interessant discussion, because I have read nothing here. But I still decided to register, because I have nothing better do to =}}

I hope my English isn't very bad. It is difficult to write in English, especially a few hours after midnight =}}}

Welcome, Sofia! It's good to have more people on the forum, no matter where they're from. And don't worry about your English; you write it very well. Certainly much better than I can write in Finnish (which isn't hard, since I don't know any).

Anyway, if you're looking for a copy of the book Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH (and if you don't find one in London) you can get a copy here[=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0140307257/qid=1090547141/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/026-6534208-8702830] get a copy here from amazon.co.uk.

Hope to hear more from you in the future!
