Hello, everybody!

What to tell about me ... Well, I'm sixteen years old, I live in Austria, a small, little country next to Germany ( ), and I became a big "The Secret of NIMH" - Fan.
This started, when I found the novel "Mrs. Frisby and the rats of NIMH", and I read it in one day, because it was one of the loveliest books, I ever read, and I couldn't stop reading ^^
Then, I remembered the movie "Mrs. Brisby and the secret of NIMH", and bought the DVD ... and I loved the movie too :)
It's one of the best animationmovies, I had ever seen (okay, next to "Watership Down or "The Last Unicorn"), and you can't imagine, how often I watched the Film to this day liggli

My favourite characters are Mrs. (F)Brisby, Martin, Teresa and Justin, but the Great Owl is also good (I love the scene, when Mrs. Brisby meets the owl)

Well, this is me ^^
Hope, I'll have fun here.

Sure you'll have fun here Asyra! :)
Welcome to our world buddy, and I can tell you that your story is just the same as the most of the people here. One day we read a book or watch a movie (my case  ) and from then an entire new world opens before our eyes. We start to look for more and we found this place, this wonderful place where we found great people who share with us the same feeling for "The Secret of NIMH"

I hope you have fun with us Asyra and WELCOME! :D

By the way, I'm sixteen too... until tomorrow

Thanks, for the welcome, Tenken :D
Yes, this is just a wonderful website, and by the way, I visited it long time before I registred me here in the forum. - I love the Fanartgallery, there are such amazing artists. - And maybe, when I will learn the NIMHish way to draw, I will show my artwork too :) (It's a little bit difficult for me to learn this style)

And please excuse my bad english, but you see, english is not my mother tongue

Wow, 'Watership Down' also ? there is a forum for that by one of our members and I visit often as I can.

have fun here and enjoy :D

I'll wait for your art Asyra! :)

Well, we're two then! English isn't my natural language either.

Ah I wonder if you know about the NIMHmuck. It's not a part of this site by itself but as you can see on the fan art, it's related in some way. So if you like the Rol Play let me invite you to drop some time, most of the people here also has a character there.

See ya!

I drawed my very first fanart today :D
Well, now I have to write Simon, I guess, when I want to show it in the gallery
And, maybe it's interesting to know, that I'm working on a NIMH - character of how I would look like, if I would be a NIMH - character ... It will be a female rat named Clover (Hope nobody created a chara named Clover)

@Tenken, really? What's your natural language? (When I'm allowed to ask you this)

@Whisker, thanks for your friendly welcome too! And you are right, this movie is more than amazing, I love the classic animation too, it's just beautiful. Hm, I don't like the modern animation movies ...
A Watership Down Forum? Great, I'm going to visit it :D

NIMH-muck? I just often read about the NIMH-muck in the descriptions oder comments of the fanart, but I really don't know, what it is ... I only know many characters of the artists, that is all.
Well, maybe I'll play in the RP :D

Glad to hear that! :) We have plenty of space at the gallery for new artists! And don't worry, no one had created a char named Clover (for now at least  )

Of course you're allowed :) Spanish is my natural language.

The NIMHmuck is a rol play game based in text. It's like a chat room, but with some commands to facilitate the rol play. Basically you take the rol of your character and interact with the other players to create a story. Like acting in a movie.

on this thread you can find more information about it.
Ah! I play Tenken (duh) Redah, Patricia and Sarah.

Tenken is right, lots going on at Thorn Valley, and Clover is a beautiful name and remindes me of Clover in Watership Down  , I think she was a hutch rabbit :? is that your favorite character.?

Tho "Secret Of NIMH" and "Mrs frisby and the Rats of NIMH" is #1 in my book, WD is #2 , wondering if you had a chance to read richard adam`s book on watership down before seeing the movie?

@Whisker, thanks for your friendly welcome too! And you are right, this movie is more than amazing, I love the classic animation too, it's just beautiful. Hm, I don't like the modern animation movies ...

Okay, good to hear it ^^ I love the Name Clover, it is one of my favourite names since I was thirteen, and read "Watership Down" the first time :)
@Whiskers, yes, I named my chara after Clover from "Watership Down", and she was one of the two hutch rabbits, you are right.
No, she isn't my favourite character, my favourite characters are Fiver, Hazel, Hyzenthlay und Vilthuril
(And I hope, this answered your second question, yes, I read both books: "Watership down" and "Tales of Watership Down" before I found the movie, and knew the series, but I don't like the series  )

I know this site :D
Great website, of course, but I have never seen the forum to this day

A common foe? Sounds interesting ... now I understand, why everbody, or most of your charas is often drawn with a weapon ^^

@Tenken
Spanish? Great ... I like spanish, but I can't speak it :(

This sounds good, thanks for the information, Tenken!
Now I'm going to read this topic ^^

PS: Thanks to Simon! :D
My first fanart is in the gallery! :)
