Has anyone thought of the possibility that if it wasn't for the slow aging process Jonathan might have been dead by the time that Mrs. Brisby was born?

(assuming that the escapees have "wandered around about 2-3 years" as Simon estimated in the faq section)

Add to that the time spent in the lab (which has to be quite a while), and the fact that we don't know how old he was when captured, and it's not a possibility but a certainty.

Not being sure when Mrs Brisby was born tends to throw our time line off a bit .

She could have been born at the same time as Jonathan, in this case she would have been long passed on during the "wandering" :(

Theres not enough information in the movieverse to know for certain but according to the bookverse compared to the average lifespan of mice that would be about accurate.

As far as I'm concerned maximum mice lifespan takes 4 years, so I can admit it, that without NIMH experiments Johnatan could not live for so long to meet Mrs Brisby and make family. Anyway, it's a fantasy story, so the real mice and rats lifespan shouldn't be taken into account)
