We where on a subject of Plushies at the Acorn cafe, and I showed off my Chip and Dale CDRR plushies, to my surprize, people noticed my cels and Brisby plushie in the pic, more NIMH fans?

Now this is not staged, if you visit my house they are set up as is.

As an animation fan I will get my hands on any Mice/Rat Rodent animation stuff that I can, in that I`m weak.

Hi Whiskers,

Thank you for your kind words. I would also like to add that I loved your setup as well. BTW, Do you know of any place besides e-bay where I can obtain a Brisby Plushie? I've always wanted one of my very own, but could never master the whole process of bidding that is required on e-bay. Any assistance that you can give regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated...

Peace :)

I wish I could help NIMHmaniac, all of my NIMH Cells, Plushies, and Story Boards and other stuff was bought on E-bay.
But most are sold by individual people, But at times a company is selling, and they will give an adress to thier place, write to them to check out more of what they have, most have lots of animation stock, sometimes then you can work thru them and not have to go thru E-bay.

Sure go a head, I wish I could take the time to do a good group shot of all my junk, but I find that nobody can even come close to TimothyB`s collection that at saw on Max NIMH :) That was some stuff.

My favorite is his cel of Justin and The Briz!

Probably missing a few items like newspaper ad sheets, slides, new book, etc. This is the reason I joined Ebay 10 years ago:

The cel framed:

How most the collection is displayed on a shelf:

Hehe, well, I did say it's the reason I signed up to Ebay 10 years ago :)

I first bought a lunchbox. Then books here and there, the plushies. I've really slowed down the last 4 years since I already got so much stuff. And probably past up 4 or so plushies. And I passed up for others to get things like the baskin robbins flavor NIMH sign, or a heavy duty reverse metal plate for printing ads in a newspaper. Or I atleast did not bid up the price on those.

hehe, I love the way that Mrs. Brisby plushie looks with the glasses... her smug little smirk expression is so cute! :D

Wow... is that really an original animation cell... like one that is actually a frame of the original movie animation as it was captured?

Yep, all the cels in my photos and the ones in Whisker's are the ones you see watching the movie.

I had double checked the one with Justin and Brisby very very carefully. Sometimes they can be a color test cel, and not used in the film, so you don't want to over pay on one of those. But looking at the line work, exact positions of whiskers, edges, fingers, etc, it was a match. Only thing off is that the Justin cel is two or so frames aparts from the brisby side cel (two pieces), which seems to be common as that's so with another American Tail cel I have.

Here are more views of the drawings and two cels I have. Due check out the rest of the gallery. http://timothyb.rubberslug.com/gallery/master_query.asp?SeriesID=14195

Thanks for showing us your collection :D , I`m loving this, your cel of Justin and Brisby is still my favorite!
Stopped by your gallery and loved your Brisby sketch, and as far as I know Don does not do them anymore, I got one also a few years back.

I did the same also, checking some my cels with the movie,

In one of my cels, something is missing?

In the movie it is Jeremy`s wing holding Timothy`s medicine,
I know that I will most likely never find the other layer of cell on E-Bay of Jeremy`s wing holding Timothy`s medicine to complete the cel,

But still, I loved that scene, she is so happy, not knowing of the trials that await her, she is only thinking of her young sick son at the time :(

For animation, they do in fact use a different layer for each character, ( including the background ). They fit it in, if they screw up, they have to center it and put it back togehther again. I'm surprised you have quite a lot of those cels desmouse.

Most of the incomplete cels really do not cost a lot.

I do have some that are more complete, the one I like is of Cynthia and the Shrew washing dishes, I thought It was one cel, but when I got it in the mail I found it had four cel layers to make the one image.
