I've just heard a wonderful rumor: Another animator claims to be working on another sequel to SoN!!! He claims to be noting the mistakes made in the other sequel that will not be mentioned, and will not repeat them.

All I can say at this point is WOW!! If such a miracle does come true and this film is indeed made, I think it would go a long way towards satisfying a craving that we (myself included) here in the NIMH community have had for quite some time now. I especially would like to commennd beerbeastredux on his plans to include Mr Don Bluth in the project should things work out favorably and the green light is given. Let us cross our figers and toes and pray for the sucess of this truly momentous project.

He's posted a reply there. He claims to be professional, but admits to seeing minimal success. He also plans to ask MGM to include Bluth in it. But he hasn't yet taken his idea to MGM. My advice to him: don't take no for an answer. Git R Done (copyright Larry the Cable Guy), even if it means annoying the heck out of MGM. Just make it happen.

I would love to see a good hand drawn picture come out. The computer generated films coming out these days just seem to miss something. It just seems that the more technology is put into something the less feeling comes out.

I really wish I'd followed my first dreams with art when I was younger....I could be an animator (I think....I don't know really, my art may not be good enough) doing stuff like this, lord knows I could probably come up witha decent screenplay and storyboard at the least.

Yeah. I just couldn't resist spreading the word around. This guy sounds like he's for real. He can't guaruntee us anything, but he says he'll try.
I'd know he's a phony if he says he will do it. There is no 100% chance of success in anything. Though it would be nice if he did pull through.

Well it sounds like a good idea but there'd be a considerable amount of re-casting since the men who played Sullivan and Jenner died, not to mention Elizabeth Heartman's passing. I think a new villain would be pretty fresh and a storyline most likely would follow the events of the what if's we've been saying for the past how many years. Did the Brisbys go to Thorn Valley? Who is the leader of the Rats of NIMH? Various things like that.
