NIMH Collections

So...what NIMH goodies do you have?

I have an original edition of Mrs. Frisby, various copies of the books, a SoN lunchbox and a framed cell of Mr. Ages and Mrs. Brisby that was signed by Don Bluth. I had a set of the 1982 lobbycards, but I gave them to my favorite student :)

These use to be up at Maximum Nimh along with many other collections, sadly the site had to go down.

We got a nice Brisby drawing by Bluth here, a spectacular Jenner cel. Some
random animation drawings. VHS. 2 dvds, one region 2 widescreen. Sitcker
books, watercolor books, calendar, cd, NIMH cups, 2 Brisby plushes and a
mini Brisby. Jeremy plush and mini version. Other books. A puzzel or two.
Board game and press-out play set A lunchbox and one of those old magic slates with a nice drawing on it.

One unique item was the Busy Play Bag, all in the first image, but here's
what came in it. I got it for real cheap off ebay, never opened so all the
items inside were never touched.

Press slides with a large french pressbook in perfect condition with
wonderful artwork on the cover.

The larger watercolor book

A really large book with 10 poster images to color

And that Mrs. Brisby's Children book that's yellow and cut along the side
around Brisby.

Oh, I think some black and white art for newspaper ads that they cut and paste on to the paste boards.

Good Lord! :shock: Is there anything NIMH you don't have? A collector would pay a good sized fortune for all that. Though if I were you, I wouldn't sell them for anything.

I signed up with eBay on March 1998 to purchase a lunch box, I think I was 17 then and I've kept at it, now I'm 26 :)

Just check eBay once or twice a week.

I used to be more active in collecting, but have lost interest somewhat.

I have the Storybook, the comic book, Mr. Ages puzzle and the playset.

The rarer things I have are the NIMH teaser poster that was rolled rather than folded, I got that off Ebay and never saw another like it.

The movie poster that I got autographed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman at one of their animation seminars.

Off Ebay I got the Jeremy pendant that is still on the card. A picture of it was on Badbird's site.

I used to have the NIMH Viewmaster slides still on the card, but I traded that to Daphne Lage for the Love and Mr. Ages comissioned picture she did for me.

I’ve been meaning to resurrect this topic for some time, though I’ve never been much for the merchandising part of fandom. But here’s what I do have
The graphic novel put out by Western Publishing. It’s a faithful enough adaptation, though the art has too much of a “house” look; it’s a pity they couldn’t have reproduced the art from the original cels. It’s odd that while they left the death of Nicodemus intact, without really toning it down at all, they had Sullivan survive, and Jenner sustained only a minor flesh wound and slunk away, vowing revenge.
Of course, I also have the soundtrack album, on the original vinyl, as well as the set of six souvenir postcards, as a bonus with my copy of “The NIMH File.” I have “Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of Nimh” in the Apple/Scholastic edition, retitled for the movie, with the Nicodemus/Mrs. Brisby shot on the cover.
Embarrassingly enough, as far as video goes all I have is the original VHS, which I bought in 1986 when it had been reduced in price to $29.95. (Anyone else remember when VHS tapes ran 70 to 90 bucks?)
But my pride and joy is a five-foot-high theater lobby stand-up, with the same Hildebrandt painting as on the soundtrack album jacket. When I had room, I had it standing up fully, providing inspiration for my fan–fic writing.

One additional item…(sigh) Yes, I bought the VHS of “NIMH 2” when it first came out, not really knowing what to expect but figuring it was worth a look.

I actually have a text file with it all organized in it. So it was a simple copy past. Hay, is there any way you could post a pic of that theater lobby stand up? I never knew one existed.

I must admit to loving the pissed Brisby picture (Azathoth's avatar). Makes her look like a gangsta, especially with the amulet.

I have a large collection that I will post up shortly. I do have some extras that I would like to trade for other Nimh items.

I have a few extra Circle K cups and I have an extra large Jeremy plush and extra small and large Mrs. Brisby plushies. I would trade any of them for a small Jeremy plush.

I am needing some 7/11 & Circle K Cups, iron-ons, busy play bag, the family boxed puzzle, pendants, and Mrs. Frisby folder.

I would think that the cover is wrong and this is just the 1982 release.

I don't have this one which is odd since I have so much German stuff. I don't recall ever seeing this item and I spent several years getting German stuff from Germany. Maybe I ignored it because it looks like the USA release.

Ok I think I can shed some light onto this mysterious German CD OST. I found this[=http://www.colosseum.de/product_info.php/info/p381_The-Secret-Of-Nimh---Jerry-Goldsmith-.html]this web site for Colosseum that has it listed (sold out of course :( ). It looks like Colosseum is the European branch of Varese Sarabande. Notice the numbers.

USA version:

Colosseum version:

CVS 5541.2
Barcode: 4-005939-55412-5

An 8x12 Theatrical Poster and a Jeremy mask? Two items that were never on any other NIMH site that I know of! How old do you think the mask is?

I think it is from a Halloween costume from 1982. The NIMH merchandising manual lists halloween costumes as a product.
