I found this little story in the latest issue of National Geographic and I must say that it totally blew my mind.

Okay, that is pretty scary. For a mouse to kill an albatross is pretty impressive.

I think no matter how small you are, when times times get hard, you will find a way to eat and live.

To Whiskers & Nimhster,

Your points are well taken. In fact this whole thing reminds me of a poster that was very popular back in the day (mid seventies ~ eighties). It showed an eagle with its wings spread and talons all set to grab a supposedly hapless mouse. The mouse on the other hand perhaps knowing that his number is up, gives the great raptor the middle finger nonetheless. Underneath all this the slogan read "The Last Great Act of Defiance". I just wish I had a copy of that poster now.

That's stupid, but in a funny way. Guess the mouse doesn't have anything left to lose, so he's giving the hawk something to think about before he goes.
