Hello again everyone, I've been looking for a good website containing forum avatars and I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a site that has plenty of them. Thanks!

Good question Nimhster,
one good site is my freind Sher`s site at Skycon, lots of avatars but mostly anime, but some western animation, lots of icons and avatars.

I have a avatar site also but it is more for fun, and I do not use it much, I take what I find interesting and try to make a avatar of it , just to see what it looks like, some from animated movies and others from great fan art. Big ones 100 x100 others 80x80 and some (lots bigger) are for signature blocks, the rest is junk, just stuff for storage.

And there is more but I must check my fav files :D

That link was highly useful, as I hope you can see from my avatar. So it's not NIMH-related. So sue me. I've always loved "Calvin and Hobbes".

Thanks Xavier! :)

Wow, these are some fairly interesting sites thus far. A suggestion: Find photos or graphics that you like, or at least a movie (in this case a given), then pin down someone who likes to mess with geaphics and the like. Avatars are prettyr durn easy to make, especially if you have Adobe Photoshop of some version. I try to make my own, but as you can see I took someones advice and used a stand-in avatar. :-P I'm tryign to find the time to draw NIMH stuff for a change. When that happens, I'll draw something I like and use "it" for my avatar.

ALL THAT TO SAY - If you'd like, I can make you an avatar. I'll bet almost everyone here can, too, but we want for lack fo asking, right? :)

In my time, I've made a number of avatars, for a large range of things. Given an image, I can whip up an avatar pretty easily as well. One way to test if it will look good as an avatar, is to reduce it in size as a whole. Small scale can make or break some images. Especially artwork.

If anyone wants me to whip up an avatar for them, just drop me a line via one of the methods shown at the bottom of my posts.
