Well it`s some what different

while enjoying this "classic" in another tongue, I could not help but to be reminded of the "Giant centipede" and how he would love to chow down on this mouse and shut him up.

Where is that big beautiful Giant centipede when you need him ?

What did Gollum say in the Two Towers movie?

"Take it off! It burns us, kills us!"

I had thought seeing the movie in a language I could not understand would make it more bearable. I was wrong.

Aloha!

I think I like it so I think I will watch it.

mamma mia...

Yeah it is kinda corny... I does sound opera-ish a little.

The song is strange anyway. Except for one song (the one that Timmy and Jenny sing at the same time which wasn't really bad),all the songs are weird.

The Japanese version used subtitles for the songs. I never too much paid attention to them.

To ye who would dare to look upon this abomination, heed my warning: The Evil will devour your very soul and plunge it into the deepest of darkness. In other words.... Lower your expectations if you intend to watch. It is without a doubt a prime example of a sequel gone wrong

"Oh please, I might be crazy, but I'm not stupid. You couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat!" - Evil Martin

liReadys garlic, crucifix, and large syring labelled 'animation- grade A'li

One stikc of this, and it'll be all over but critical acclaims of "Eegads! A decent traditional animated feature! But aren't they extinct?"

Hey now, I like opera. :) I actually liked this version of the song. The singers were much better than in the english version. At any rate, I've heard and seen much worse than this.

I guess the only reason I don't have much to say against this piece is due to the theme of wanting to be like a father who's no longer there, which touches me on a personal level. Haha, I can actually pick out a few Italian words that I know. "Camino" is either journey or road... I think it's road... and I can't remember the others I heard, except "papa" which is a no-brainer.

SoN II is just an okay movie to me, which means 'watch-and-forget'. But when watching this movie in an Itanlian opera by chance, it freaked me out, like I said. :P

I liked NIMH 2 for what it was.. sure the movie was a bit too cartoonish but it did answered a lot of questions..

it raised more questions than it answered. it was not even consistant with the first movie. you could have given it another name and passed it off as another movie. it was horid. an attemp at turning a great movie into a musical.

True and I agree with you. Turning NIMH in a musical was a bad idea but I did liked it, seeing Teresa as Andrews was funny, I do wonder if anyone did a "sound of Music" fan fic of her. Also I have to admit I thought Jenny looked hot.. well for a girl mouse..

Considering Barney as your avatar, I don't think you have a mind left to explode.

It may be mean, but I thought it was pretty funny.

I know it's mean, but I never had a particularly friendly sense of humor. Besides, anyone who uses Barney as an avatar has got to have a screw loose somewhere.

Hey, it's cool!

Still, given a choice, I'll take NIMH 2 over Barney any day. And by the way, I only saw the first 10 seconds of the opera before I had a temporary sanity gain and stopped it before I got emotionally scarred even worse.

Speaking of Barney and NIMH2 operas, which one would you choose if you had to look at one?

Cedric

07-09-2006 17:11:25

It all depends on whether BJ and Baby Bop are included in the Barney side. If they are, I'd take the opera.

Good thing none of my little cousins like this show.
