Okay, here's a bit of trivia that falls somewhere along the lines of Mrs. Brisby and An American Tail.

Has anyone ever noticed that the foyer of the wallet family's house in All Dogs go to Heaven is virtually a mirror image of the Farmer Fitzgibbon's house in SoN? Okay, so the one in all dogs go to heaven is a lot more ornate, but the staircase, door to the kitchen and even the placement of the desk on which Fitzgibbon's phone was on are nearly exactly the same, only in reverse.

On an even more FAR fetched note, both houses seem to bear a slight, albiet remote resemblence to the house from Lady and the Tramp.
Okay, that last one was reaching.

I myself was not aware of these differences, but just the same, I'm not surprised especially when you consider that Don Bluth worked for many years as a Disney Animator and as such, I'm quite sure that he picked up on quite a few tricks of the trade especially when it comes to re-cycling character designs & movements as well as props and backgrounds. This is not necessarily a bad thing... After all, Disney did it for quite some time and I'll be willing to bet that there are not a great many of you that noticed when it occured. Case in point; Snow White's movements as she dances with the Dwarfs after the chores have been done is lifted virtually unchanged and re-applied to Duchess in the "Aristocats" as she and O'Malley swing at Scat Cat's pad and yet again to Maid Marian in "Robin Hood" as she dances at the forest party. Another example of Disney recycling characters and/or their movements occurs between the original "Jungle Book" and "Small One." It soon becomes very obvious after watching these shows that the Boy in "Small One" is heavily based upon Mowgli in "Jungle Book" both in physical design as well as movement. In fact once again a scene (Mowgli wandering dejectedly & aimlessly through the jungle after fleeing from Baloo) is copied virtually unchanged and applied to "Small One" where we see the Boy wandering dejectedly & aimlessly through the streets of Bethlehem after attempting to and failing miserably at finding a home for his beloved friend... The donkey whose name was the title of the show.

Peace :D
