Sorry to post this plug on this forum, but it did say anything NIMHish. XD

For any and all NIMH fans, come check out Thorn Valley MUCK's (amatuerish) website at http://thornvalley.genesismuds.com[]http://thornvalley.genesismuds.com. We're currently taking applications for characters, although the MUCK won't officially open until this Friday. Hopefully, by then, all the rooms and programs will be finished. And if you like the MUCK or the idea, or just the webpage, or me, let some other people know about it. Please??

Anyway, enough of a shameless plug. Hope to see you guys there!

Interesting.

Just a note, for those of you that might be interested, you can still go to the existing NIMHmuck (homepage is unfortunately down right now). It is undergoing a reconstruction, so you may want to hold off on creating a character for a bit, but you can log in as a guest by telnetting to galaxyport.net port 4567.

I'd encourage trying out both and seeing how you like it. While NIMHmuck's history (as noted on Alastair's site) has had it's ups and downs, as with just about any community I can think of, I think that newer players with fresh ideas can always help things improve.

Also, I'd like to state here, for the record, that I have no relationship whatsoever to the creator of Thorn Valley MUCK or the muck itself, despite the name. I kinda wish that you'd have chosen a different name, Alastair.

Simon

No. It's not. It went down a couple years ago, I think.

How's it not working? I was able to get on there a few times and it worked. Hmm, maybe it's just having problems at certain times in the day.

oh its just an older version of nimh muck.

Simon

No. It had nothing to do with NIMHmuck, other than the fact that it was started by an ex-NIMHmucker.

And I've checked. You cannot connect to this muck. So, I have no idea what you're connecting to Nimhster, but it isn't Thorn Valley Muck. Perhaps you were thinking of NIMHmuck?

Thorn Valley MUCK? Has someone been trying to make a parody of NIMHMUCK, or were they just trying to confuse everyone with multiple NIMH based mucks?

Jayn

No, it was made by a ex-NIMHmucker, most likely one that was banned. But I'm not sure..

Wiki Fur? I heard of Wikipedia. So for this new muck plug, can you do more things than the other plug, or can it do about the same things but is more organized? When I went on The NIMH MUCK, and went to the forum, it was hard to read if someone had posted a new comment there.

liblinks?li I'm confused.. I contacted the creator of Thorn Valley MUCK a long time ago, trying to see if they were still interested in keeping the muck going. Sadly, they weren't, and as you'll notice, even the website seems to have been taken down..

Also, I think you may have only seen NIMHmuck's website, because the actual muck hasn't got a forum, and is in reality on a completely different system than that which can be accessed by your browser.

What you just said makes no sense. Are you just posting something to make me look stupid or do you have something to say? Be more -specific-, please. x.x;

Galaxyport.net 4567 is/was NIMHmuck's old address. If it's still working, great, but you should always use muck.nimhmuck.org 4567. This has nothing whatsoever to do with Dreamscape or Thorn Valley MUCK. I merely pointed out the address of NIMHmuck at the time as a response to the original plug for the (now defunct) Thorn Valley MUCK.
